

After working in the animation business for over 35 years Ric has returned to his true passion, painting Wildlife.

In 1989 he moved to Florida to work at Walt Disney Feature Animation where he worked on such films as Beauty and the Beast, Lion King, Aladdin, Bolt, Roger Rabbit -(Art Director), Mulan-(Art Director), and Lilo and Stitch-(Art Director). Ric then moved back to Toronto and worked at Animation House for 5 years. After graduating in Classical Animation he worked in Ottawa at Atkinson Film Arts for three years. After high school, he worked as a Millwright and an Electrician for 7 years before going back to Art school to study animation at Sheridan College in Oakville, Ontario. While his brothers were catching fish he would spend hours observing and drawing them. From a young age, he was fascinated by the intricacies of nature. Biography Richard John Sluiter was born in Toronto in 1957 and grew up in Mississauga.
