But, like, owning two sets of Joy-Con already achieves that, so. Nintendont doesnt support Bluetooth HID controllers. If it only uses USB for charging (like the Wii U Pro controller), then no, it wont. Ive attempted toggling to every input type (X-input, etc) and toggling the rumble. I also tried having the 8bitdo software register the Wii U Pro controller as a Switch Pro controller, same issue - no rumble. With that said, I guess it'd be nice for people to just be able to bust out controllers they've already owned for ten years when the next 2D Mario hits and it's time to get some simple multiplayer action going. If the Switch Pro controller supports USB HID, then yes, itll work with Nintendont. After pairing the controller and trying to toggle the vibration strength in the Ultimate Software, nothing happens - no rumble at all. Switch doesn't come with a sensor bar or a way to plug one in, so you'd need an adapter for that, and for what? A controller with far fewer buttons than the standard controllers for the system (thus necessitating bespoke control schemes) and inferior motion sensing capabilities (WM+ nonwithstanding), whose sole advantage would be IR pointing, which is great for UI navigation but has been effectively superseded by gyro aim assist for camera control purposes?

Wii U Pro controller is my favorite controller for Super Smash Bros., but I have a MayFlash adapter that lets me use Wii U Pro controller on Switch whenever I like, already.ĭon't really need Wii controller support, though. It's not really necessary, and adapters already exist for the Wii U Pro controller and IIRC even the Wii Remote (mainly for classic controller support tho).
